Thirteen years manufacturing experience, mostly spent with Corning Incorporated. Experience in a range of areas including ceramic Celcor extrusion; hot glass pressing; and thick film electronic processing. Have held a wide range of positions including new product development engineering; process engineering; line supervision; and quality manager. For the past 10 years I have worked with manufacturing extension partnerships in North Carolina and the Manufacturing Technology Center in Southwest Virginia. I continue to work with a variety of different industries with a focus on Lean Manufacturing implementation and/or Quality system implementation including six sigma and ISO/TS quality systems. Certified ISO auditor for ISO 9000:2000; ISO 13485:2003 (medical devices); TS16949 (automotive); and ISO 17025 (lab standard). As a MTC Engineer I continue to work closely with companies in achieving certification in each of these ISO Quality System standards. NIST certified to teach several courses in Lean Manufacturing including: Principles of Lean Manufacturing 101; Changeover Reduction; Value Stream Mapping; 5S; and Total Productive Maintenance. As a MTC engineer I continue to work closely with companies in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing. Green Belt Six Sigma Certification. Experience teaching SPC; Root Cause Analyses; and Problem Solving Courses. |
